I got a '44 dated canteen from Cubao X for 280 bucks. Part of the chain is missing, and it has no canteen cup, but at least I have something to put in my canteen cover I also got 4 LPs of Tommy Dorsey and Glenn Miller music. Now to buy a half a decent player The thrift shop there was also selling an M1 helmet shell for 700 bucks. It was repainted, but I'm not sure if the rough patches were cork. I doesn't seem WW2 anyhow (despite their claims), because it was a rear seam steel pot, and those came late in the war, I believe. I decided against buying it. |
