Doing sweatpea first, as soon as i can get the wife to approve the headsculpt (so far both attempts rejected). Then Amber, then Blondie. Then maybe a 2 foot tall Giant Samurai Robot.

jimmiroquai, you've got some crazy skills there. Great job on the sculpts. Haven't seen the movie yet but I sure am impressed with your custom stuff.

Thanks B20! I decided to re-sculpt Rocket's head as the crooked nose of the first really bugged me. I hate how I notice these imperfections only after I start painting. Again, i'm still not very good with likenesses but I hope you'll forgive an amateur's pride. I decided to go with sculpted hair this time because 1) I ran out of doll hair of the right color 2)I didn't like how the hair and hat came out the first time. still on the assembly line...

Rocket has new boots. Behind her is the Trench Dio i'm working on. It still has to be painted. More WIPs of the Trench Dio: This is the first time i'm making a dio so i'm learning as i go. I designed it to be modular so it can be easily moved and/or rearranged. It has three main panels made out of Sintra board (I had lots left over from my 1:1 airsoft MG34 build) and a styrofoam base. I used balsa for the wood planks, and beat em up with a hammer. I used orthopedic casting material (I was too lazy to make my own) and tissue for the ground layers then applied a white glue-water-sand slush. The closed i could find to 1:6 scale corrugated GI sheet: corrugated paper. The scale of the corrugations is too small for 1:6 though. Any other alternatives? I do have a question for you veteran dio builders: When painting, do you prime everything 1st or go straight to the base colors?

dogmeat16 - yeah! hehe. Finally close to finishing another of the Sucker Punch ladies: Blondie. Funny thing happened with the headsculpt for this one. As usual, I thought my first sculpt looked relatively OK until i painted it...then it didn't look like her at all. When i showed it to my wife, she said it kinda looked like Michael or Janet Jackson. And that's when i decided to ditch the original. I was about to resculpt when i spotted my Sweetpea ver 2.0 headsculpt lying around. I then compared it to the pics i had and, after an intensive nose job and repaint and hair transplant, i came up with what i think is a pretty good Blondie (relative to my amateur skills). From Left to right: Blondie 1st attempt -> Sweetpea ver 2.0 -> Blondie Her outfit started as a Takara body suit i got loose. Modified it by removing the shoulder armor, lowering the neckline, and adding lots of pleather. The body is a modified Cygirl ver 1.0.
