Sucker Punch Giant Samurai update:
Just finished the armature/skeleton for the 24 inch Giant Samurai. It's made out a 16" Marvel Legends BAF Apocalypse figure. Most of the main joints are racheted and so i thought this would be able to support the weight of the figure. Unfortunately, the knee joints aren't racheted and so buckle under the weight. Darn! I'll try the super glue trick but at worst, i'll have to use a stand for this figure. Also, because of the very action-figure articulation design of the base toy, i've lost some range of motion, especially in the arms after elongating them. Here it is next to a 1/6 TTL body:
Sucker Punch Giant Robot Demon Samurai with Gatling gun is practically done! A big thank you to toyman for helping me with the armor in a big way. (I may need more help designing a stand for him).
I haven't built the backpack yet because i plan to incorporate it into the base/stand i'm designing for it. Also, i just noticed in the pics that the feet are tiny. Have to sculpt bigger feet for him...Anyway, i'm happy with the scale. It's huge!

louiejo1: I have designed and built a pretty faithful reproduction of the WW2 Japanese Type 89 Knee mortar for airsoft use. I takes standard 40mm gas grenades and has an effective range when held at a 45 degree angle of 120-130 ft.
