After our last game, dogmeat and I were discussing about how we should up our game some more by developing our own tactics. As it is, we are somewhat at a disadvantage because of our mostly non-camo, non-ergonomic gear and uniforms, plus the fact that we don't have those fancy shmancy accessories on our guns. So I guess it sounds quite wise to work on tactics. Any comments or suggestions?

i believe we also talked about it while on our 3rd game... im happy we won acouple of games during that day.but the trench assault training from the germans will work less. dig in thight like a thick put some garnishing on your helmet.. voila! this will lessen for you to be spotted.. fire and manuver also is helpful.

Dan is right, and as ww2 guys we spend more on our uniform rather than gun upgrading unlike the M4 boys, thats why we should upgrade our weapons too, they see us as friendly low FPS ww2 guys.

Yeah, that "friendly fps" intro by boyP was why i wanted to try and upgrade to the max...

yes upgrade but lets keep it within gamesite limits. Km 18 as a benchmark is 450fps i think? Also start stocking up on spare mags so we can waste ammo on the enemy

anyway the simplest tactics would be to have a fixed firing line while another group will do flanking maneuvers. its a battle standard.
another would be bounding. As we have a firing line. a group will press forward while the other group commits suppressing fire. Upon reaching a short distance, the group that moved forward then commits suppressing fire while the group at the back presses forward..and vice versa..this continues until such a point that the enemy is already cornered.

Perhaps we can appoint a point person? We can be democratic about tactics and stuff, but I guess we should look to someone who will call the shots so there would be more cohesion and less confusion.

Resurrecting an old idea: maybe we can use era hand signals, and maybe even german commands so the enemy won't know our maneuvers? But i agree, we need to learn to work as a team.

agree with you all. simple bounding overwatch and application of line and column formation as well as hand signals are a good place to start...we should expect to lose more often initially while were trying out what works for airsoft and what doesn't. I'd like to do commands in German but perhaps this isn't everyone's cup of tea.

um..... guys i think this would workwell if we stick together because sometimes during the game we end up with the modern guys. and also most important thing while in the heat of the battle is to give a COVERING FIRE. i hope you still remember when Tad ran and covered near to the cr in km18.. even theres no sight of an enemy we still need to cover fire for him. modern guys dont do that. that would give our kamerad a 100% chance of survival and also additional defense line for us. i agree again for an upgrade upto 450fps.

Sorry for the very late reply to the thread (busy at work) anyway i was just thinking aloud on how boyP's comment, first skirmish game, about our group amongst the crowd of airsoft players, it was kinda insulting, it was like we were just palabok or palamuti and we aren't really an airsoft group to be taken seriously, that we were just people who dress up in fancy gears and be so called airsofters due to the fact that we have WW2 AEGs, This sucks for me on account that we are very capable in playing airsoft. I know that our group could kick @ss tactically in the field, cause lets face it when it comes to load outs we kick @ss already. we have history on our side and knowledge with regards to great battles, we enjoy being historians and to know alot of things regarding tactics and battle strategies. we are very capable as a unit to device ways in tackling a situation.
Ex. a tactic for DEFEND in the FIELD setting tailored to suit our needs, Firstly, the group should know the lay of the land as well as best possible flanking, maneuvering and cover positions we could initiate forward teams of 3 at all the flanking places where enemies approach, establish the no man's land, and set up killing perimeters. how to tailor fit this to our ww2 group? all the light units without to much equipment could be the flanking teams, high rate fire units could be positioned in the established killing perimeters.
I have seen our group play and i admire our group, all the games played in alpadi and km18, we are a sight to see and should be respected as competent and capable players, Our group member's Sniping ability, maneuverability, our capabilities to make and design our weapons and equipment and our group's STAMINA i very much applaud the stamina guys. and our coordination in some games like the one in alpadi where we couldn't be stormed in by the opposing force because our cover was great, i suggest that we make Solid Core Tactics designed and made for us by us. Tactics for CQB, FIELD and MIX playing areas and Strategies for generic DEFEND and ASSULT.
i would finish this message with a saying i believe sums up our group in a good way... I am always outnumbered, but never outmanned.

Airsoft Tactic found online for FIELD and ASSULT 3-5 Second Buddy Rushes when assaulting an airsoft objective with a teammate, use the buddy rush method. You may need to practice this a few times before the skirmish to get it right. You and your teammate alternate rushes for 3-5 seconds towards the target, while one of you puts suppressive fire on the objective. Utilize cover and concealment along the attack route, ensuring your rush ends at a spot that will protect you from enemy fire (a tree, log, rock, etc). Use hand signals to indicate when you are ready to move or lay down suppressive fire. Your stream of airsoft ammo will keep you opponent down while your buddy moves forward.

Actually, i didn't find boyP's comments insulting at all. He just said that most of us have weak guns, which is true. And despite the weak guns, he knows we can kill. That's why he told the other players to acknowledge hits from us. My suggestion, upgrade your guns guys!
