Is there such a thing as a Philippine Department shoulder patch with reversed colors? I saw one for sale and the claim is that it is from the WW2 era.
The patch has the same oval shape as the regular Phuilippine Department patch but on this one the sea lion was blue, on a white background. The patch also had a blue border. Has anyone come across one of these? Is it legit?

Guys got an email from Vic and Philip here what it says...... Hello Troops, I submitted the attached picture for possible Picture of the Week at the WW2Reenactors forum. This is a US-based forum with thousands of very active members. Usually a Picture of the Week photo is critiqued and nitpicked by "experts". This has garnered nothing but positive comments. I copied and pasted some of them below. Good job guys. Hep hep hooray! Paki-forward na lang to anyone whom I may have missed. Victor check this link- ww2reenactors.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=photo&action=display&thread=29821&page=2

Now, let's start building more Garands while the Gun Ban is on . Also, I hope to see you guys joining us in another memorable photoshoot soon. Come in any early WWII Philippine Impression ( PS, PCA, PC, CA, Moro or Igorot Scout, etc. ). Wouldn't it be great to see one reenactor atop a Stuart Tank wearing a G-string as an Igorot Scout? ;D Any volunteer? ;D

I believe that was never generally issued and authorized. Probably a rare specially made version for a specific officer? The person BOB Capistrano assistant historian of the PSHS with the most extensive collection ever I have seen of PS memorabilia does not even have one like that in his collection. link to patches and insignia's used by the PS from the collection of Bob Capistrano: www.philippine-scouts.org/the-scouts/insignia-memorabilia/insignia-of-the-philippine-scouts.htmlI hope this helps.
