Thanks! Got the orig gun parts from a long time gunsmith in the province. My order from ebay of an original front handguard has not arrived yet. It's been a month now so I went to a local sash factory, gave him a cardboard pattern plus the ferrules and he made it for me in less than 2 hrs. Since I already have the pattern for the gunstock and rear hand guard from the modified M14 plastic parts it will be easy now to make it also from wood.

Looks great! Have you found shotgun mags yet? I hope the gas block can be replicated locally.

It's done! ;D ;D All I need now is a shortened magazine As you requested Doc Jimmi, M1 Garand Airsoft Upgrade : - B/new TM internals, receiver group ( 430 fps, nice grouping ) - Orig front handguard with metal parts from ebay - modified butt plate ( from the orig M14 a/soft butt plate ) - Other items arriving from ebay ( better lower band, lower rear handguard w/clip )

Hey guys! Start building your garands. I will reproduce the wooden lower rear and front handguards from original wooden parts as soon as the lower handguard that I got from ebay arrives. The front handguard you guys are referring to is about an inch shorter based on orig specs. Even if you use it, your M14 barrel will still be an inch shorter. But if you are going to use original Garand metal parts( especially the cylinder block ), based on specs, your M14 barrel will be about 2+ inches shorter ( Manny of My Airsoft Shop ni Opoy makes an excellent barrel extension). You will need a lathe machine job and additional tooling to make this barrel extension fit into the cylinder lock ( no worry as Mang Rey of Marikina can handlle that ). However, if you are going to use fabricated metal parts, you can compensate by shortening your Gunstocks or the handguards, assuming if Noy was able to fabricate the Gas Block assembly.
