The transformation. M14 cut up gunstock and parts. Original but used M1 Gas Cylinder I cut the gunstock too short so I got another gunstock and more old M1 Garand parts ( has been shopping around the provinces ). Carboard pattern for the missing front handguard ( ordered one from ebay hoping it will be allowed to ship to the Phils. ) Bulking up is needed on the gunstock and the rear handguard. No wooden parts at the moment. Until next time........ Note: My apologies for starting another thread on a similar topic Hey Masterchief! I might need those wooden parts

Great WIP, mcshine! I'm inspired! Where'd you get the gas block? Do you think it can be copied by a machine shop? Are the barrel bands original too? I wouldn't mind a plastic garand. Try and get your hands on some cheap shotgun mags to mod.

;D I got a complete set of barrel bands from a gunsmith in one of my provincial trips. The gas block is one-piece and may be hard to fabricate.

Looks like a great start MV. Any way to shorten it a bit? Looks a bit long

It looks long because it is still on the original M14 gunstock that needs to be bulked-up in some areas. I based the gunstock and hand-guards lengths based on a marushin garand specs.

I am just waiting for the last part ( front handguard ) which I ordered from ebay. The waterstop epoxy is really a good material to work on. Thanks for the suggestion Jim. It will help a lot in doing your G43 project.
