That's pretty cool! My favorite scale too! I would love to play with an RC like that.
I just got into building static scalemodel ships. Currently on my workbench is a 1/350th scale World War II Japanese Destroyer Isokaze.

Very impressive! I have high respects to those of you who can motorize your scale models from scratch. I'm barely able to bend and glue those darned photoetch parts! Not sure if you've visited the Ship Model Forum, they have amazing R/C ships there. Some of the completed ones have been documented from start to finish. They build the ships from scratch and then motorize it! At larger scales too! Check out some of their threads. It's almost like watching a TV episode to keep up with the progress of the build.
