For those of you who were at last Sunday's game, you'll remember that my friends and I shot plate footage for gun effects. When I say plate footage, it refers to the base video upon which the effects will be applied to.

Here's a peg.

Anyway, he just sent me a test video. A work in progress, if you will, which I'd like to share with you guys.

A brief background, my friend Zig (who shot this with his brother as the camera operator) and I have been directing and producing videos for a while now. We've done music videos and short films, but most of our work can be seen on www.pelicola.tv, an internet TV site that I run.

Here it is:

Next step is to finish the rest of the test plates, and then shoot an assault sequence where the camera is moving.

The end goal is to shoot a short featuring these effects. Of course, I'm proposing making use of our group and doing a WW2 video.

@jojo: thanks, man!
@albert: yeah, and ejecting shells. we have to tweak the muzzle flash so that it varies, and mask the backflash so that it only affects me and not the background. we gotta look for a SCAR gun effect too. right now that's a remington.

Everything was great except the lee-enfields were semi auto somehow.
