Got a M1 liner at Quiapo, Manila for Php 450.00, but it has an old sticker in it, this is a 1971 issue, it says > Liner, Ground Troop's Helmet (Combat) Type I, 71 Sept 30 DSA 100-72-C-0455
The suspension straps are replaced with nylon and it has no holes for the nape strap. I'm wondering why. Help and info on this please. Thank you. I'll post a pic asap.
*They still have lots of M1 helmets for sale and liners at Quiapo, Manila in case there are some of you guys who wants to buy.
Plastic liners - Php 200.00 - Php 250.00 Fiber liners - Php 450.00 - Php 500.00
I posted the prices so that sellers at Quiapo won't take advantage of you guys. =)

  img262.imageshack.us/img262/8274/dscn00680.jpg[/img] Got the Late War chinstrap from Jmurrayinc1944.com and the leather chinstrap from Doc Jimmiroquai, Bought the liner at Quiapo. Haven't started with the paint yet and the chinstraps aren't sewn on the swivel bale. Anyone know what shade of orange was used for the 2nd Rangers helmet? Preferably Tamiya. Thank You!

I was there a few hours ago, The sales"lady" is Jeline? Geline? It's right below the large ham tarpaulin with a filipino chef, if your coming from espana. If i heard them correctly after asking them 4-6 times regarding the name of the street, it's Pondera St.
They still have M1 WWII and late 70's liners but with nylon webbings (as seen in the pics, above). If ever they run out of available liners at their store, you can order from them. That is if they still have some more in their warehouse.
Hope this helps.
@sir Pumba> Will post a sketch.

Hi Kalbs, Great tutorial! A few questions, though: 1.) I like the idea of using Tamiya paint. Won't they run though when used in the field under the rain? 2.) I'm planning to paint camo on the helmet, just like the pathfinders did. Would you know what shade they used?
