Since I was planning to do a Philippine WW2 uniform impression, I decided to make it closer to home and re-interpret my grandfather's uniform when he was in the service. I asked my mom to dig up his old USAFFE papers and these are what I got:

What was the type of hat he was wearing and what is that insignia on the crown?
Here's a photo of the officers upon arrival in Tarlac. Unfortunately they were in civvies. My Grandpa is the 3rd chap kneeling from the left front.

Note: We have exactly the same height and weight, and his signature is exactly the same as my father's, who was a junior. I used to forge his signature on my absent slips in college, heh heh.
