Welcome Raffles, i like the second pic. feel free to post your reenactment /airsoft pictures. Will do! well what I have to hand anyway. Mods feel free to move this into the gear/photo sections if you feel this is too much for here. A colour snap of the Volkssturm kit - Here's some of the weapons I have - I've changed and added a lot of gear since then. The thompsons have had the wood kits swapped out and all the leather has been aged up a bit. I replaced the lanyard with a real one as well. The M3 knife is actually a rubber repro from Fieldwerks painted up - And my lovely Mp40 - It was completely stripped and blued and the gearbox, hop and barrel upgraded. It still needs a little adjustment but it fires really well. And a few action type shots from POW airsoft in Scotland -

Welcome Raffles, i like the second pic. feel free to post your reenactment /airsoft pictures. Here's some of the weapons I have - Welcome aboard Raffles. Great pictures! What caught my eye the most is one of your Thompsons. It looks like it's a British configuration with the sling attachment on the top side of the butt and as well as on the side. I would like to make the sling attachment like this on one of my Thompsons but both the grip and the butt are made of plastic.

Yes the wood kit was British (on an asg reciever). It uses the same hardware to mount the sling. You could remove the mounting hardware, fill the slots with an epoxy wood filler and then drill new mounts. Pop some epoxy putty blobs on the inside to give the screws something to mount to. (tip - use vaseline or silicone spray on the screws and screw them into the putty. They won't stick and when you unscrew them you have an instant threaded hole!)
