 what patch is that on the sleeve of the soldat??? i got one my self but never sew it on my tunic.. just purchased it and had the feeling its a germanic patch...  untill i saw this photo.

The patch in question was worn by German Jager troops. Jager troops were light infantry speciallizing in mountain and forest enviroments. If you use the patch you should also have bright green piping, same as Mountain troops.

cool! luckly i didnt sew it on my w-ss uniform... or it can be used on w-ss units also?
and ive just research thru google it says...
German Jäger Divisions were formed in 1940 and were similar to Mountain Divisions, but lacked specialized mountaineering equipment. The Jäger sleeve insignia was introduced in October 1942 to be worn on the upper right sleeve of the greatcoat, service tunic, and field blouse. This insignia example would have typically been worn by enlisted men and NCOs. nice! ;D

The SS had jager units and Divisions too, I think the 7th, 20th and 24th were jagers
