I'm sorry guys if this is the wrong forum to post this.
another of the new things i am coming back to in this hobby is the need for registration of AEGs and permits to transport.
I went through the FAS thread on this and from what i have seen, a receipt is really needed from the seller where you got your AEG as this is one of the documentary requirements to your application with the FED.
thing is, my stuff is old and were bought even before the advent of PNP memo circular 11. hence no ORs (they didn't even issue ORs for AEGs back in the day!)
any suggestions on how to deal with this?
again, if this is the wrong place to post this, please let me know and i'll take it down. sorry for the inconvenience.

If you know an airsoft gun shop owner what you can do is purchase around 3-5k worth of stuff...not too difficult these days and have the receipt made for a gun instead.

Sadly, the new folks at FED are very strict with the receipts. Not only do you need to have one, the need to come from an accredited airsoft shop. This is what the FED chief told me when he explained why i couldn't register two of my guns last july. You can do what albert suggests and just buy 3-4K worth of airsoft stuff and have them place your AEG on the receipt. Or just go old school and pack it in a non threatening looking back like we always used to do.

strange, I got my guns registered around that time. No receipts. They asked you to come back with them?

Yup. I had my new stuff registered and my PTTs renewed after new FED management was appointed (post-Pnoy inauguration). The new FED chief even gave me a good explanation as to why they need to be stricter: they want to make sure that we aren't buying smuggled goods and that the shops are paying the right taxes. My only complaint is that they should have told me that BEFORE i paid for the registration fees. Take note, all my guns had receipts. It's just that two of them were from non FED accredited shops. IMHO, this registration thing is all a lot of hoopla. If you've got the right receipts, go ahead with it for your own semi-piece of mind. If not, just pack it discreetly....a true child of airsoft in the 90s.

Oh so you personally went? well at 09 they weren't asking at the times I went and since I didn't grease any palms they extended my processes. So on my 4th attempt to register I left a messenger instructions to grease some palms. I had 4 failed registrations since I had to file my own work leave just for it. Its only when I when up in rank when I could afford a messenger to do my errand instead. Calculating opportunity cost and personally registering is always more expensive than a proxy, especially since they may have less sympathy for the "burgis" owner than the messenger who is just doing his job (even if this burgis owner was not much above minimum wage).
