Some pictures from the Reading, PA WW2 Weekend Airshow. Except for the Saturday night hangar dance, I didn't suit up as either PS or PA. I brought the whole family and came as a dad.
I thought I was going to be more free to take pictures by not reenacting but I shot even fewer pictures... it was pretty hard to take pictures with a sleeping 3-year old on my shoulder
Their first air show:

Bill Burruss as a 59th Coast Artillery officer. Theirs was the only early war Philippine display.

Our old friend Lil' Killjoy. One of the 37'' antitank guns we used for filming in 2007.

Some paratroopers. My son pointed to them and said "paratroopers"... we had to have a picture taken with them.

Some of the Band of Brothers veterans. I had my DVD set signed by them. I thanked and shook their hands a couple of seconds longer than usual. What a fitting moment to experience on the 66th anniversary of D-Day to boot!

Ed Taggert, an Americal Division veteran and Reading resident. He had fought in Guadalcanal and Leyte as an artilleryman. He was selling his book there which I bought. I had a nice long chat with him. Will post his book in the books forum later. Here he is signing my copy.

One of the battle reenactments. I was nowhere near a good vantage point to catch any of it. I relied on my zoom just to have some pictures taken. Too busy shepherding the kids.

A dummy bomb in the hangar signed by various air corps veterans including Paul Tibbets

Other random pictures.

I didn't get a chance to take a picture of the buzzing planes... it rained for 30 minutes at one point. It was such a downpour and I had to shelter with my daughter under a C-47's wing. I can't believe it's over and another year's wait ahead.
