Hi! Can anybody tell me where to buy divisional patches locally (specifically 82nd Airborne Division)? Or, can somebody just tell me the measurements so I can have patches made.? Thanks a lot!

Hi! Can anybody tell me where to buy divisional patches locally (specifically 82nd Airborne Division)? Or, can somebody just tell me the measurements so I can have patches made.? Thanks a lot! See below for the 82nd Airborne SSI, Institute of Heraldry Drawing. It may be easier to order the patches from abroad. 82nd patches are pretty common (merrow-edge though). If I am not mistaken, WWII Divisional SSI were all cut-edge (in some cases felt/ wool), and the backing material was khaki-like (or OD #3, if you prefer). I have some 82nd SSI, but all are post-WW2.

No offence taken sir MV.
During war time some patches were made locally. However, the wearing of a divisional patch implied "Old breed" as replacements generally came in without. Some divisions such as the 1st, 2nd, 3rd,4th, 82nd and etc. consider the patch to be quite sacred and wearing of them is a badge of honor.

By the way sir, the link you gave doesn't seem to be working. Where else can I buy those kinds of patches? I saw some on ebay, but I don't know if they were locally made or something.
