Two surprises here: Jim suddenly asks me if i want a cock and shoot luger (HELL YEAH!) so i traded it with him. It was a simple enough plastic point and shoot luger with the correct toggle cocking action. Here it is with a little bit of putty to remove seams and sink holes: I decided to try my luck doing a silver undercoat and then overspraying it with black and sanding it doen to create a metallic effect: Step 1 silver paint after putty: Step 2 paint the grip in red brown and dry brush with vatious mixes of brown to make the grip look wooden: Step 3: spray the entire gun Tamiya NATO black (for the dull greyish black used look) Step 4: sand and scratch the high wear areas down with various grades of sand paper Step 5: Rub pencil graphite in various amounts all over the gun using photos as references for wear patterns: I'm pretty happy with the effect. I'll probably add some lead weight on into the hollow parts of the grip. And now the real surprise: Never knew they made airsoft guns in ther philippines! Albert

Hahaha! It looks great, albert! I'll try out the pencil technique in the future. I wonder if we can find more of these...the original owner bought this piece in SM Fairview a few years ago. Maybe we can find out who built it. Great job! Forgot to ask, does it still shoot? Oh, and you might want to leave the magazine silver or grey.

It shoots! quite impressively actually. on target 10 feet away but alas, if you point the barrel down, the bb's roll out. any way to fix this? It's actually a good last resort for close up situations. (I've never had a side arm in a game).

I did a little research. Apparently, this is an Academy Luger, made in a factory in Cavite. I guess Academy used to outsource some of their kits/toys to the Philippines. Here's an old review of it: www.justpistols.co.uk/springers.htm

Great job, try SM north at special toys if they still have, they have guns made in the Philippines. i got my luger there. if not mistaken its from Academy, and the factory is in Cavite.
albert,if you need more reference you can look at my real luger it still have all the markings.
