Hi guys,
just re-found this interesting post in the axis history forum.
apparently, a soldier of the 101st airborne shot dead a landsturm nederland SS volunteer in 1944 and while going through his belongings found a photo of what appears to be a Malay Waffen SS Mann in the dutch waffen SS. He is wearing the dutch wolfsangel volunteer collar patch and the dutch volunteer shield on his left sleeve.
Since the photo is private and copyrighted i will not post it here but i will place the link. I ask that we do not lift it or use it in the site as the original owner is a respected author and authority on the Waffen SS.

this is not to say that there were many malays or indonesians in landsturm. In fact there's just this one asian looking guy.
Anyway, apparently there seem to be a lot of reenactors in indonesia as well. To wit:
