Hi, not sure if this is the right thread for this.... .got a repro leather sling for my K98 and Mp40 just want to know if the metal on the front portion holding the the sling is durable enough to hold the sling, and wont crack. Thanks.

Moved it for you, no big deal.
If you are refering to the metal ring on the front of the MP40 the answer is yes, it should be okay to carry the weight. I never heard of one breaking, the folding stock is the weakest part on the MP40 (careful with that).
However, I'm not sure how a kar98k sling fits on an MP40?

Talking about slings...
the china repro MP40 sling that i bought last week is really thick.
It won't fit at the slot at the back of the gun... used a pair of pliers to pull it but it's just way too thick.
i guess, i'll just have to bring it back to Peter's and get the japan one.... that's a hk$100 more though..
