Nope, there isn't a company that makes an airsoft Gewehr43. Not even Shoei AFAIK. It's one of those essential guns that will have to be built. I was contemplating on building one using a MP40 gearbox and a modified Kar98 stock. R2D2 and Eliel over at FAS built a Gew43 look-a-like out of the M14.

Just thinking... If Masterchief could do the stock and Jimmi did the internal designs you guys could sell these as conversions. They would sell I bet

A collaboration project would be great! The only problem...who gets to keep it? Haha. But seriously, the Gew43 has always been a holy grail project. Mainly because of the RS rarity of this gun. It' hard to find parts like magazines and receivers so we only have pictures to base it off from. And most customs out there are mainly look-a-likes. But, if i had the funds, i'd go on this quest.

Yup! Checked it out before and the builder's words were discouraging. I'd try this in a heartbeat if I had acces to a g43 magazine. It's built so differently from an m14 that building one from scratch would be easier than trying to convert d m14. I'd try using an mp40 or stem gearbox and modify a kar98 stock. The only problem would be the magazine. That's the one part I haven't figured out how to fabricate.

I think it can be done from an M14. Challanges include the upper receiver, front barrel assembly, magazine and reshaping the M14 stock. It wouldn't be exact but would look the part. Stock: I would use an aftermarket real wood stock to reshape and maybe veneer a cut back upper foreguard Receiver: Make a mold from peices starting with an AK front assembly. One the plug is made maybe have it cast or milled. Barrel assembly: It would sit a bit higher than the real G43 but mill a new stock end ferrel and fabricate the fore sight from parts and steel. Magazine: I think a King Arms mid-cap could be cut down.

Here's the gew43 that eliel and r2d2 built out of an m14: Hmmm....I might try my hand at this.... But i'll be needing another m14....and another kar98....

Thanks for posting this Jim, we were just playing around with our old M14. Could you post details of how you made it?
