Found these at a ukay-ukay shop in Calamba, Laguna yesterday morning... It's a real deal US WW2 HBT "first pattern" uniform trousers made from a lighter "sage green" color cloth. Buttons are the metal tack buttons with a 13-star logo stamped on the face. I believe these were used by the Army in all theaters of operations up to the end of the war. These are the ones with large hip bellows pockets. Used, but in excellent, wearable condition. Date on tag is March 1943. Cost was Php 250.00. At The Front Militaria sells repros of these for $49.99. It's a size 36 though... I'm a 32.

oh my! 250 bucks!!!! ? Yes, Php 250.00... It was in the rack where all the men's slacks were. Tried haggling but they wouldn't bring the price down even a bit. I have a M-43 field jacket and M-43 field cap. Now I have to look for the HBT shirt that go with these pants to round it out. Was in a surplus store in San Pablo City, Laguna yesterday. THey had a US 1945 dated canvas axe cover (with the hook to attach to the pistol belt or pack). It was NOS, being sold for Php 315.00. Didn't get it as I don't think I'll be able to find the axe itself...
