Happy New Year everyone! Been busy (unfortunately, not related to our hobby) that this is my first post of the year. I checked out the Photo Gallery, you've all been busy. As always, the pictures are great!

Anyway, I've checked previous posts, and I don't think anyone's mentioned this movie yet.



The movie is about a least portrayed (in my opinion) group of soldiers, the Russian Scouts. The cover alone made me want to get this DVD - Russian camo in action! I'm very glad I did! With all the World War II movies that I have in my collection, I have yet to see Russian camouflage in the main role.

I thought this movie was well made. I make no claims that I'm an authenticity expert but I didn't find anything that stood out as innacurate. The Russian scouts are even armed with PPS-42 SMGs! Another rare appearance. It is all in Russian so you'll have to read the subtitles but it doesn't take away from the movie itself. I won't say anything else regarding the plot. I always think it's better that you uncover things yourself. With that in mind, I highly recommend it.

You may have watched a different one. These group of scouts operated above ground among fields for the entire length of the film. DAN SAN is right, this makes for good reference.

Mournblade, you're welcome. I'm surprised nobody's mentioned this. I didn't even know this exists and found it by accident. I was looking for a different Russian made World War II movie and this one was suggested.
