Gentlemen:
My name is Terry and I'm from Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. I'm looking for some sage advice on the Maruchin M-1 / M-2 Carbines.
I would like to purchase one but can't find any hard data on their performance in the field, outside the sales videos on YouTube. I have searched your forum but was unsuccessful.
Can anyone speak from experience about the reliability, ease of use, etc? I'm thinking that the 6mm version may be better just due to local availability of 6mm bb's.
Thanks, in advance, for any information you can share about these Airsoft guns.
Best to you, WhiteRook

I had a Marushin M2 carbine. Made the mistake of using green gas. It broke and never got a reply for a parts replacement. I never had the chance to play with it. It ended up as a wall hanger.

The recently released Marushin 6mm/8mm M1/M2 carbine GBB's are more rigid than the old batch of 8mm MAXI which Mcshine has... but still not reliable enough for a usual skirmishes, although i only fielded my 6mm M1 carbine once due to lack of extra mags (was using green gas, base on the online shop's review it is green gas capable)...the feeling of "something is going to fell apart" is still there.

Thank you gentlemen ...
I'll put my $400 into another venture. I would hate to buy one and have un-usable.
I might try the bar 10 to M1903 route or the m14 aeg to m1 garand conversion.
Thanks for the advice.
