Hey guys, I need your help. I've encountered a few problems with my STG44 that I bought from MAS. I'm sure you've come across these (I overheard conversations/threads about them), so I want to know how you fixed them. Special shout-out to Jim, Albert, and Todd. 1.) First is we lost the round screw at the bottom of the lower receiver (encircled in red). How can we replace this? 2.) The front handgrip is really loose. To the point that the teeth at its rear which should be inside the upper receiver is already outside. I suspect that the part infront of the front handgrip (the one that houses the front swivel for the sling) should be tightened. How do we do this? Hope to hear from you soon! Cheers, Noel

Hi Noel! To answer your questions: 1)Unfortunately, it'l be hard to find a replacement for this pin. You can try sourcing one from someone who has a trashed MP44, or have a machine shop make one for you. Ask jnmodeller and blackdragon regarding their MP44s. Mcshine (Mon) knows a machine shop nearby. If you can borrow the part, it'l be easy for them to replicate. 2) Easy fix. You will have to take out this screw with an allen wrench: Underneath there is a hidden grub screw that holds the whole front assembly in place. Push the front assembly in place and tighten the grub screw with an allen wrench. Then apply loctite or nail polish so it won't looses easily.

Awesome, thanks Jim. In addition, will the gun fall apart without that pin?

I don't think so...I'm not sure though. If there is no receiver wobble without it then i think it'll be fine.
