i did additional research, and according to some, OD#3 varies significantly depending on the manufacturer (then). Apparently, these are all qualified as using OD#3:

Should be ok malegant. There were wide variations of "khaki" some depending on the manufacturer and even on wear and tear. Some even agree that the "greenish" shade more correct than the "brownish" color portrayed in illustrations and movies.

Same with feldgrau folks. Remember, this was wartime. lots of manufacturers all working with variable specs plus variable field conditions equals lots of possible shades. Same rule goes for the field equipment as well.

I felt the same thing when I realized that the jumpsuits of my two Dragon action figures were too brown. But a quick check calmed me

This is what I mean: This shade is great for the early Phil airborne, except for the reinforce material which they didn't use, Perry what do you think.

With all the exciting games that have been taking place coupled with my work, I haven't been able to update this thread. So now I will: Finally got my King Arms M1A1 Thompson. [Toy Soldier Airsoft Shop] Aside from the fact that it's not GBB, it's a beauty. Rubberized Assault Gas Mask Bag [WPG] A great carrier for my airsoft field mask. (Although I'm considering just wearing ballistic glasses while playing) - M1936 Suspenders with Felt Shoulder Pads [WPG] - M1923 Mounted Cartridge Belt [WPG] - .45 Cal Double Mag Pouch [Sonia's] For the KAR98 bearer in our airborne squad I finally indulged and purchased the M1943 Jumpsuit Set (with hood) from ATF. Along with the M1943, I got the 506th Reinforced M1942 Jumpsuit set with Sergeant chevrons from ATF as well, seen here with a Fabric Gas Brassard. And finally, I'd like to showcase my awesome boots by Mang Ner Lorenzo. On the left is the double buckle M43 boots (for my Nijmegen impression) and beside it is the M42 jumpboots (with Parachute laces from Service of Supply). Just a few more and the 4 types of Airborne impressions are complete!

Do you have a photo of the WPG & ATF guys? Quite curious as to how these people who get my money look like.
