As for the handguard, sure! I'll put it in.
Three options:
1.) Direct delivery from Northridge (Doc Jim said they're willing to ship to her)
2.) My brother is going to the states on Nov 19. I can have him bring it with him coming back. (Do you think there will be any security issues? Even if he stows it in his check-in luggage?)
3.) My cousins are from there. I can just have it shipped to them, and they can later door-to-door it to me.

I suggest passing on the scope mount. Garands were very rarely used with the scope and The iron sights of the M14 are amazing by themselves. You may not need to get the wood handguards. You can PM Mcshine he has the wood stocks made locally. You'll also need the stock ferrule assembly.
