My wife was telling me that my German Tunic was actually in fashion. She stumbled on to this link. I wish my patches are easily removed so i can wear it at work. Lol.

I had the same thoughts about my luftwaffe jacket. I think i'll have a second repro made so i won't be walking around festooned in swastikas and runes.

I admit i'm tempted to get the black wool finnish tunic from hiki just to use as a jacket. the tunic will cost 5000 in Zara (I was looking for a coat when I go to china on the winter months). But 1400 from JunRey (all though not a wool finish). Still, I never get mens fashion But THIS, I can really see why it looks cool. not to mention its a way to get more utility out of my WWII gear. I can tell my wife, I can actually wear it in public.

Certain places in China get really cold in winter, you might end up freezing if you wear just the tunic.
If you go to the Beijing area it is worth checking out the Panjiayuan Antique Market, which is open on weekends. Lots of militaria stalls there. I saw US, Japanese, PLA uniforms/ gear and some German M-35 helmets, which were supplied to the Nationalist forces. I remember that the Japanese and US helmets were really cheap.
Another place worth checking out is the Beijing Military Museum, one of the 10 largest military museums in the world. Easy to get to, as there is a subway stop practically in front of it.

That kind of weather calls for a full coat (which is also in the fashion display... although I would be opting for a more classic cut, as what I can find in google images.

There was this incident when a city mayor and his son turned up at a fashion show in Romania. Of course some jewish groups protested angrily and called for his dismissal. His excuse was that he meant to honor Klaus von Stauffenberg and really just liked the uniform a lot. His alibi was generally accepted...he, he, lucky for him he didn't wear an SS uniform.
