I'm having morbid images of unearthing a helmet that's still attached to a skull...
But, I wish these hunters the best, and may their searches always be as fruitful.

posible the helmet they got here was lucky enouch to be in a muck and not being oxidized.. or rather a mud without air thats why rust didnt had a chance to destroy the gem.
in dwtv a german news chanel actual coverd a story of a dug up trench in tiergarten.they found a remains of a WL flieger with his helm on his head and rotten away uniform even his gun is with him in a fetus position.luckly they found also the dog tag with him and was able to identify the man.they are able to trace the family of the flieger and returned the remains to the family. lucky him! home sweet home.

well, these finds drive home the point that the stuff recovered can't get more authentic. they are the real thing.

Ask what city it was found near and we may be able to trace the uniots operating there in 44-45.
