Actually jojo dy (blackdragon)- almost won the game for you. While almost all the allies were concentrating their fire on you guys, here comes blackdragon a-strolling down the road almost to the bridge! Hahaha. Too bad he got shot by the very very patient allied soldier who stayed in place guarding the bridge.

gman - Ah, so it was you who avenged our deaths! haha. You're very much welcome! I hope you can join us in full gear next time. I have to warn you though, collecting the ww2 stuff is addicting! Just pm/text us or search this forum for uniform and gear sources! @everyone - post whatever pics you have here. It's too bad we didn't get to take many impression photos, most of us were just itching to play! Hahaha. Hello jim! Actually let me just say that it was a pleasure to have met up with you and the ww2 group. I'd been wanting to gear up, but I've been waiting for the right weapon (mg42), which sadly appears to not becoming available soon. Anyway, can you PM me your contact number? I have some questions regarding gear. Thanks! I've just modified 3 of my AEGs, and what with acquistion of assorted other gear we use for the field, I really have to prioritize my expenditure for this hobby GMan

hey guys! great game!!! due to my limited smart bro access at this time, i'll try to upload some of the pics by this evening via dsl; including my after battle reports where I had some really good exchange gunfights-- and yes Jim.. looks like the tommy's were outsmarted by a Kar!!! 2 against 1.
Lets cross our fingers that gma 7 does a good job at tonight's primetime news (24 Oras) stayed tuned-- they also sent Unang Hirit segment producers, so lets monitor tom. morning, and GMA TV- a net based GMA platform that is syndicated internationally comes up with a good report about our growing ranks.
Congratulations are in order to Jim and Albert! great work guys... I overheard one of the reporter crews saying... puro professionals pala ang mga ito...nakakatuwa (all these guys are professionals ... very amusing).
Also liked what albert said during our after battle red horse ride : )-- during one KM 18 game, the marshall said at the start of a game briefing-- o... world war 2 ang mga ito-- Honest ang mga ito" (These guys are world war 2- they're Honest...
If we keep this up, including our pace, soon enough another year from now Jim, we will be having entire troop games-- a band of "honest" brothers who will be well liked in the playing fields.
Congratulations to all!!!

thanks for a great game guys. I thought I quit airsoft for good in 2003 out of disgust at the local airsoft community. joining you guys reaffirmed my interest in the hobby. plus the historical reenactor aspect is just great! although i was just recovering from 2 days of dehydration, i made it a point not to miss out on yesterday. just being there and trying on my new soviet uniform and toting doc jim's mastercrafted pupushka was a victory on its own. it was made even more superb by meeting all of you. i'll play more next time as i expect to be recovered by then. plus this is a positive incentive to get back into shape. thank you very much again!

By the way, as an aside guys, my associate here at the office is offering if you'd want to try their game site in meycauayan. i've never seen it but he says lots of other teams used to play there a lot until they closed it down before. they are opening it now for select people. he says there are lots of forested grounds and bunkers in the place for gaming.
it seems my associate's airsoft gaming group has heard of our group of reenactors and they are very much interested to game with us if you're willing.
i'll see if i can visit their site and take pics to post here so you can check it out.

hey that's great to hear, bob!
gotta admit, that alpadi's site was huge, and the site we played in was really slippery! one wrong slip and you'll be on top of the hill one moment and at the bottom the next in record time hahaha

The third game was my toughest. I have to crawl all the way from the roadside down to the base where the broken pipes are located. I almost outflanked the Germans but ended in a draw with Panzerfront toting his MG 34 against my "Garand". It was a good kill and a good "death" at the same time. Almost won the game for the allies. I ended up gasping for breath though "medic! medic!". Sign of old age? Good thing there were "Red Horse" Beers to rehydrate me affterwards ;D ;D ;D

it was a great game with battle scars too, (up to now still hurts like hell hahahaha) anyways congratulations to the group it was a momentous victory for all of us in the community but kudos to the organizers for their efforts in making the event a success, the after game event was also nice learned so much from the group, "OohRah!"

I'm just curious. Does anyone here have an actual headcount of not just reenactors, but players? If we can have a rollcall, maybe we can have a more realistic estimate of how often we can have a reenaction game. I for one would be interested in a regular game schedule

My MP40 was also literally bent out of shape breaking a fall. blackdragon fell on his brand new MP44 and broke it...the mud was out to get us.
I have to honestly say though, this was the best d@nm airsoft game i've ever attended and played since 1990. Topping even the night game at my grandmother's house when i got three kills with a springer walther MPL. That was 20 years ago, i think.
