Hi kamerads! Let me just say that the Aug 1 all ww2 games were a success thatnks to you guys! The first all ww2 game in the country took place last aug 2009 with around 8-10 participants. This time, a year later, we've got almost 30 players, not counting those in absentia. There was also media coverage and some action shots as well. There were less posed shots however, but a lot more games. hopefully, we can do this more often. And hopefully, even more players can come. Post you after action stories and some photos here! I'll be posting more soon! i had a blast guys! Thanks!

Pumba - My MP40 was also a casualty of the slippery mud. Hahaha. Price of war, i guess. I'll see if i can fix it as well... mikevictor - It was too bad you couldn't come. It was indeed a great day for WW2aaa. Here are my after action reports! Game 1 Scenario was patrol vs.patrol: The Germans wiped out the allies, but the battle with their last man standing was indeed impressive. Diego, toyman's son (US, last man standing) was able to knife kill FJ Panzerfront. Then as i advanced on his position with my luger, he opened fire with his tommy, i got off a few shots but was gunned down. He also got my brother after switching to his pistol for close range. What an amazing last stand! Game 2: Scenario was again patrol vs. patrol All i remember from this game was that i couldn't see any of the allies from my position. I was using the kar98, searching for the enemy through the scope but kept coming up empty. Until finally, i saw some creeping behind some brush. I carefully followed his movements through the scope. Then, as he passed a gap in the brush, BANG! headshot at long range! I love my Kar98. The third game was the most memorable for me. Scenario: Eliminate the German MG34 machinegun crew I was positioned in a shallow ditch when i saw Toyman and company advancing near my position. It was very early in the game and i was doing my best vassily zeitzef "I am a stone" impression, aiming steadily at the point where i thought the allies would show themselves. What followed was a nerve wracking gunfight with toyman's allies. Tommyguns versus a bolt action kar98. They would pop up and let loose bursts of fire in my direction, and i would lie flat in the ditch. To my amazement and surprise, they had difficulty hitting me (from my position, i felt like i was really in the open). As they peaked up to fire i took shots as them and finally got toyman and sent another to the medic. At the height of the firefight, i even drew my luger and placed on the ground in front of me just in case they decided to rush my position. Then it was quiet all of a sudden. Thinking that the enemy was strategizing behind the drainage pipe they were using as cover, i dropped my kar98, picked up my luger and crept slowly towards their position. When i got close enough, i rushed the position, pointing my luger, ready to fire...at nothing!!!! They had retreated further back! And after a split second of "oh cr@p" in my head, they shot me down. It was a good death!

I didn't shoot many pics that day, basically just group shots. The photo session time was taken up by the press in attendance. Were waiting for their group and in game shots. Sadly there were not too many impression shots, and i'm finally beginning to miss doing this. perhaps we'll schedule a shoot in the near future. I'll be posting the few shots i Dax and I shot this afternoon.

@jim: thanks so much use of the strap and the mag holder. labrador: thanks so much for generously letting me use your parka, polo, and field cap. It was nice trying to get "in character" for the game. @all: thanks for a great game day, it was quite an experience and different from our regular sunday games. My own AAR: Game 1: This was by far the most enjoyable for me, as it was the most authentic (as far as it goes, no real modern setup), and after an hour or so of waiting, when game started, it was quite a rush! Seeing the other Axis deploying in a line, I send my teammate Justin off to the left to overwatch that flank; my sector was in the center, and I was overwatching our fellow axis push the line up to the pipes. There was heavy exchange of gunfire, with Justin firing heavily from his position to the right where he had a clear view also. Some axis were getting hit by that time. I spot movement to my 12, and I see a head pop up from a horizontal pipe, taking shots at our main line. I line up my battle rifle, fire. He ducks. I fire again. My third burst gets him. It's not so easy trying to hit a head size target at 30 meters Justin yells that he sees movement off to his front, I shift aim and see two tangos. Justin cuts loose, and so do I. I think he must've gotten that one. The other promptly ducks back. By this time, our Axis line has been whittled down a bit. I think so too the allies, although I couldn't honestly be sure. I decide to press forward, and as I get to the previous main line, which was by the big pipes, I hear firing off to my left, and I instinctively duck, and BBs were spanging off the plastic pipe... I peep carefully, spot the tango off to the left behind some cover behind the bamboo clump, but i decide not to return fire yet. Tango lets loose with another burst, which I duck again... Third time was the charmer, as I peep again, tango was distracted, so I bring up my BR (battle rifle) and brrrrt hit! I decide to move further up the hill, as this area was denuded of tangos already. As I cross the bridge, I stop first to get a better grasp of the situation. Some of our Axis members had moved forward already, so again, proceeding on my self-designated task of covering the main line, I move further forward and a bit uphill. Moving beyond the first bunker there, I spot a hit-axis who was saying he was knife-killed. I see 4 Axis down to my 9 o'clock, and I continue forward, panning all the way, trying to spot tangos. Two of our mates move forward, and a head pops up from a bunker to my 10, tango gets an axis, and he ducks back. I line up my rifle, 2nd time he pops up I cut loose already; in the end I get the tango, but it was too late for that 2nd axis, for he was hit already. I gesture to Justin who was at the far left, to come to me and cover my right ... he runs and does so, taking cover near the tower. I move further forward and down, trying to gesture to the other 2 remaining Axis to do the same... Two minutes remaining, time runs out, game over, and we find out there were no more tangos to find hahaha... That was a great game.

gman - Ah, so it was you who avenged our deaths! haha. You're very much welcome! I hope you can join us in full gear next time. I have to warn you though, collecting the ww2 stuff is addicting! Just pm/text us or search this forum for uniform and gear sources! @everyone - post whatever pics you have here. It's too bad we didn't get to take many impression photos, most of us were just itching to play! Hahaha.

to our group so far the aug1 battle is our biggest and best game ever... soon will improve a much bigger event to play. here's my share... game1. patrol vs patrol --- very quick discussion.. flank and manuover..main pincer is on the right to take the uphill position while the left is to attack and harrass the amis on that area. heavy exchange of bb started the engagement. i personally headed the attack to take the bridge uphill but initial me and jnmodeller got pinned down near the big pipe and actualy it was a muddy slippery location to get down.i still made an exchange fire and hit 1 enemy after signaling the kamerads to cover fire for us to cross the bridge and we did manage to secure that area then i crawled down to the ground with a very foggy goggles.cant barely see the amis location.seing some of the kamerads being hit.i quickly decided to dash and take cover into a termite mound, below that theres a foxhole on it thinking it was cleared i was surprise to see diego aka KRAUT KILLER the son of toym said to me you're dead sir you're dead.i actually look at him twice with my foggy goggles with disbelief and that was my very first ever knife kill in my airsoft history. ;D ;D ;D hehehehe... game2. is a quick dash to the lower portion near the bunker.the fight is heavy to the right flank where jimm, mike t.,hartmann was.the game ended without seing any amis in our position. game3. being the mg gunner.. its hard to decide what would be the next position for me to take once the bunker is captured. firefight started on almost every direction. at first we tought they are able to pin down the amis and eliminate them but the main force is actually on our left flank.hartmann is my A.gunner with dax inside the bunker.the fight is almost a close combat specially seing dogmeat charging with his m1911 and of course i cut him down! ;D ;D sorry dude! hehehehe ;D dax decided to take the position outside the banker with jnmodeller.i saw some amis charging to dax position i fired 3 burst thats the time i accidentally shot dax arm.sorry dude! ;D mike nuts the medic respawned to some of our group but cant save all of them thats the time we displace to the lower portion of the hill.i saw mcshine shooting on our position i exchange fire with him while hartmann has his gundown, batteries i think. mcshine slipped from his position because its a stiff location both made a draw COWBOY STYLE mg34 vs garand rifle ;D ;D ;D thats it then i gave the mg34 to hartmann.i dont know what his story after that. last game is more like a kommando mission.. 6 germans vs 10 or more i belive, to cross the darn bridge. well if youre fat and feeling getting old. ;D the game was suicide.hehehe ;D ;D ;D like what labrador stated...everybody is happy! i second to that. ;D ;D ;D
