Its the very 1st time that the Buhay na Kasaysayan (BNK) group were
invited for a wedding to do reenactment June 17
Its a Chinese Wedding. The family wished that the motif will
be period era attire, but its too late, they came up with the idea very
late. Thus only us, the reenactors were the only one in period uniform, not
anymore the guest & groom & bride.
The groom & bride is a relative & good friends of Jojo Dy also member of the BNK & Phil. Scout Living History
reenactors.
We did an honor guard only at the reception. Assisting / marching
with the groom & bride from the room of the hotel where they stay to the dining area.
Its very funny that we have at least a total of 5 languages inside
the hotel.
1. Filipino
2. Chinese
3. English
4. Bicolano
5. Spanish
The Host speaks Chinese & interpret it in English. While the guest
used to talk a combination of Filipino & Chinese language. Then the MC also
speaked the Bicolano language (its not a dialec, but a language) because
they are Chinese based from Bicol. Lastly, since we
are reenacting the Phil. Revolution, I commanded the guards using Spanish
commands as used by the Filipino Revolutionaries during 1896-1902.
We did not expect that they shall be giving us a honorarium worth
to make us very happy.
Would like to share you some photos shown below.
When my office mate knew this, they also plan to invite us to do
honor guards & do the same on the wedding of his brother late this year.
Cheers;
Perry
