I haven't had a chance yet to tackle the problem. I suspect the bucking and few oter parts. I need to verify what is compatatble on the market

ok, i think i have sorted it out , the gearbox a pears to be longer then a normal v2 or v3 gearbox. i tried a lot of spring and recorded the results,. an m120 will give you around 310 to 325 fps pending on make of spring.............................. an m130 will give you around 340 to 375 fps..................... i did not put in an m140 . as i was happy with 370 fps.

M130 seems to be a good match then. I assume Kevin you did no other mods?

My 2 cents on the Ares PPsH: if you plan to skirmish with it (or just like firing it in full auto), better disable the electric blowback mechanism. I know it sorta defeats the purpose of the expense of the gun, but the blowback puts a lot of stress and friction on the mechanisms. I fired it for about 15 minutes once, in bursts, and the motor smoked on me! You can actually feel the metal getting almost too hot to touch. Since I've owned the gun late last year, it has spet more time in the shop than in my hands. I have now disabled the blowback, and I plan to use it next game.

Good to know medic. Haven't had mine in action yet. I was thinking of disabling it and this confirms it

Hi lads, just an update on my ppsh .I have this gun a while and I have to say I was not too happy with it , so I made a lot of changes or mods and now it's a mean machine .
First .... I got ride of the blow back system. ( only a gimmic and only using up battery power , not going to help u in fire fight ) Next.....I then attached the charging handle to the uper receiver.(now when you shotgun the ppsh ,it will not brake the hop up and it covers Up the hole on the receiver ) Next .....I super glue tin strips of card to the mag well ,to tighten up the mag. (make the card the same size as the mag well ) Next....I.replaced the motor with a faster high torque motor and reshimmed the gearbox ( and it badly needed it ) Next.....I replaced the piston with a g&p Reinforced Piston .( make sure it has 14 teeth as a shorter one will lower your fps) Next.....I replaced the hop up bucking ( the original one was too soft ) Next.....I got a Turnigy 7.4 lipo 2200 ma with a c of 40 ( which gives me extreme rof) Next ....I got new m130 spring .(giving me good power) Last .....I restain the wooden stock ( it's now a dark mahogany and it looks really good.)
After all this, the gun is now hitting 385 fps and about 12.8 rps , it sounds very smood And very Loud because the gearbox is very exposed at the top ,which I have covered with tap .
I now have a gun that not only looks good but works really well with a 2000 round mag.
I do need help with the last bit of the gun the hop up rubber, I have not up grade it because I can't get the barrel out of the hop up block , if anyone has done this , can up tell me how? Kevin.

I guess my concern about fixing the cocking handle back is that this is the AEG's safety mechanism. With a M130 (i assume systema) you should be over 400 fps. Must be a leak somewhere. Post some pics of the new stain bro

Yes , not having a safety is a problem , I'll just have to make sure my battery is not connected when gun is not in use. As for the m130 spring yes there might be a leak ,that's why I must still change my hop up rubber.
