Grrrrr. I was supposed to have the garand upgraded yesterday and found out that the gearbox is cracked. I hope i find a gearbox. Unfortunately, AGM and Kart gearboxes aren't compatible. So i have to find a Cyma, G&P, or TM gearbox. Man, building this garand has given me nothing but headaches. And is turning out to be more expensive than all my other builds. If i can't find a replacement gearbox or a cheap Cyma M14 (i really don't want to use a Kart or an AGM), i'm probably just going to sell it because i really don't want to buy a brand new cyma M14 just for spare parts. I've spent too much on this gun already. It's gotten me so frustrated that i'm even thinking of selling my whole US impression. Grrr. Stupid garand.

That is why I got a Marui to avoid the headaches

Yeah, stupid brittle clones. Cyma has a good record though. I think i was cheated when i bought my 2nd hand M14...Where did you get your marui? Though i doubt i could afford one because i still have to pay for my SMLE metal casting, Edgi upgrades, a PPSH, my allmadeups order, and an original German M42 shell.

Must hate that China pot metal, even my thompson's selector switch already has hairline cracks I guess you get what you pay for.

Yeah. I wouldn't be surprised if my china guns suddenly turn to dust i the middle of a skirmish.
Well, i decided to use the gearbox from my PPSH for my garand and will be getting an AGM gearbox from Mon (Hopefully) and installing this into the PPSH (greater tolerances for a different brand gearbox). I hope nothing goes wrong this time...I swear i'm beginning to think this gun is cursed!

The cursed Garand is finally done. I had the ff installed: *Pdi190 spring *ver3 springuide w/bearings *mosfet circuit with active breaking = for semiauto shot consistency and to protect the trigger contacts from prolonged semiauto use *sorbo pads - to protect the gearbox
Shoots around 430-450fps.

Hey Jim! Can you do that for me too? Mine is Marui based. Guys! All those who want their M1 Garand woodstocks must first get their M14 base ( receiver group and barrel ) prior to ordering. I will need this for fitting purposes.

@mcshine - i had a gunsmith do it for me. I could've done it myself, but i was kind of busy at the time and it's a real hassle to open and upgrade an M14. Even gunsmiths charge more for opening up an m14! haha! I was charged 1K for labor!
