I don't know... It's pretty deep. A dive this deep would require Trimix, probably even Heliox. Can't use air (which is normally what's inside scuba tanks) as it becomes toxic at that depth. I'll also have to sheck if my underwater video and still camera gear can withstand the pressure at that depth without imploding.

If I remember correctly, there is another US sub off Balabac... I forgot the name of that one though. It's in much shallower water though, around 60-80 feet only. If I remember correctly, it was the one that started the battle of Leyte Gulf by firing off some torpedos at Japanese ships. I think it ran aground off Balabac. I've always wanted to check this one out. The periscope would look really cool in my living room!

I've also wanted to dive off the tail of Corregidor Island (where the Japanese landed) Amphibious landings are always messy, so there should be a whole lot of stuff in shallow water.

Btw, I'll be in China again this coming week for 8 days, so I'll be getting more PLA/ Chinese military gear...
