Good to note JN but this screw is not on the early AGM MP44's.

I have the first release MP44 and mine has the screw. I discovered it too late as the metal had cracked when i disassembled it without removing this screw.

That is weird! Mine has a screw but it's much smaller than jnmodeller's. I've worked on several of these and they all had the screw. Maybe your's is the beta release.

My foregrip and outer barrel keep on popping forward. Being the non-DIY guy that I am, I'm quite clueless on how to fix this. Can anybody help?

Jim taught me how. theres a set screw hidden in the forward receiver. Bring it to the next game and i'll fix it for you. All you need are 2 sizes of allen wrenches. i keep them in the buttstock as this will loosen every now and then.
It's the Allen screw on the forward left hand side of the receiver i think. Remove that and theres a little allen screw beneath it. Push the barrel and handguard firmly back into place then tighten the small screw to the right. that should fix it, and greatly improve your accuracy.
