Nice collection indeed! Among your collection, the ones I want to add to mine are: 1) British Mk IV "Turtle", Infantry, rough finish. - This will complete my World War II British infantry impression. The one that landed in D-Day. 2) British Para/ SAS/ SBS - This will also complete my modern British Paratrooper impression. For now, I only use the British GS Mk VI for my modern British impressions. 3) Russian helmet re-linered for Czech use. I want this because I was planning to do Russian impressions, and they look pretty nice.

Very nice! What's next on your hunt list? Hi Veevee! Priority would be a Japanese Army "Cherry Blossom" helmet, like the type used in the Mukden Incident. Problem is, they are quite rare... I have never, ever, seen a real one. Even pics of them are rare! I would love to have 1 of those! I already tried looking for it in Japan... No luck.

Glad you all enjoyed seeing some of my collection of helmets and hats. Thank you for your comments guys.
The Airborne Helmet was my very first helmet purchase when there was this show called the Great Western gun show in Pomona years ago. Considered THE biggest gun show in the west coast. Got that complete helmet with chin strap for $45. if I remember. And the rest were History. The only modern I ever got was the British kevlar helmet.

darktide, Superb collections mate! Particularly liking the M40 SS.. Liking it a lot! Great patina on the paint. I would love to hear more on it. Can you tell me the factory marker and lot number? Heavy lacquered decal looks like EF/Q first pattern (frankly, a bit misshaped though). Permission to post mine.. ;D #1 M40 SD SS winter camo combat veteran- Factory marker: ET64 (Eissenhutten Werke) - Factory location: Thale, Germany - Lot number: - - Shell size: 64 - Liner size: 57 Got this one from a friend of mine, an American helmet collector (back in 2007). Brought back by 101st Airborne veteran, taken lying on ice during Ardennes offensive by LAH Kampfgruppe Peiper. Field made identification by the owner, a Grenadier name “Broich” (RIP) painted on inside skirt, also number “3174” and division ID. Not much left on the rough textured winter camo, but you can still see plenty white paint remains. Decal is ruined as well, probably by Denazification effort. Leather liner is darkened, chinstrap not bad. Regards, Eddie
