Indeed, the IJA ranks needs reinforcements for a more credible match up of forces with the Philippine Scouts. We have already produced 3 arisaka type 38 dummy rifles for the last reenactment, and to date, we have produced 5 more in my studio, and we plan to finish at least a total of 10 pieces before the month's end.
We shall turn over the rifles for finishing to Albert and Jojo, the Enfield 1917 is also being detailed at the moment by sir labrador. Hopefuly we will be able to finish 12 pieces for the march reenactment.
By the time I return in May, we will be casting the Type 92 and hopefuly create a propane variant that can simulate live fire. It is a little more complex to cast and need at least a full week to attend to it, which unfortunately I have limited time during my short break here.
More updates to come, lets do this!!!

We have already produced 3 arisaka type 38 dummy rifles for the last reenactment, and to date, we have produced 5 more in my studio, and we plan to finish at least a total of 10 pieces before the month's end. Toyman San, I and my brother (the oversized IJA soldier and the bearded korean officer) will be there again at Stotsenberg, plus one extra friend. I will make available two complete sets of IJA uniform, helmets, utility bags, canteens, putees. - I have my own arisaka plus attachable bayonet, my brother has his nambu pistol and katana. I also have a dummy knee mortar made of metal pipes welded together. - The ideal number for the IJA force would be at least 14 men plus NCOs and officers. 14 is the basic size of an operational IJA squad in the field. How many P 17 Enfield rifles? I have three Philippine Army blue maong uniforms, plus two sets left with Albert. I will make 6 guinit helmets available. PLUS some ammo belts, canteens, webbings, gas mask bags. I PRAY FOR YOUR P17 ENFIELDS, he, he. I SUGGEST AT LEAST ONE PHILIPPINE ARMY SQUAD BE REPRESENTED. If there's going to be something like 14 IJA and more than 20 PS, maybe 6 or 7 of those PS ought to volunteer as PA. Remember folks, at least 80% of USAFFE field forces were PA. Not all of them bolted and ran away at first sight of the enemy, and there are enough Philippine Army silver star and purple heart citations during the Bataan campaign to dispell that notion. We can shape the reenactment as such...... 1) IJA force initially assaults and overcomes a PA held position. 2) PS cavalry with PS infantry supported by PA survivors counterattack and regain the previously lost position. -I hope the "sandbags" we used for the MD Juan Jeep - Abucay operation have been kept and are available for reuse? -I will also send a large period camouflage netting to enhance the PA position to be attacked. -There is also wooden watercooled Browning MG 17 with tripod and cradle in the works (does not fire). Hopefully it will be available for use by the PA unit this April. I have a Type 92, the problem is that I have no means of transporting it. IT IS HEAVY. But it does have the "U" bar at the back. The machinegun can also be detached from the tripod, plus I have the brass ammo feeding tray for it. The whole things is essentially complete however it can use some more work on the exteriror finish, scrape away some accumulated rust here and there. (maybe jmodeller can help?) Plus the swivelling from left ot right needs to be loosened (WD 40 alone won't do it), and the wooden handles aren't there anymore. It also needs the two carrying handlebars at the front. As an alternative or backup should you not have enough time to finish casting your Type 92 for the April reenactment, will it help or is it possible that you can make my Type 92 work with propane by reboring a hole through the rusted barrel? Please advise, thnx!

Many thanks Guinitman! So right about a PA contingent! remember in our original scenario, the 41st Div actually charges to rescue the scouts command post. Maybe this time we can make it look right. I sure hope we can find some explosion proof horses. I'd love to see cavalrymen working like dragoons. Stopping ahead of the MFR and pouring fire into the advancing japanese before remounting to deploy again. thing are moving forward guys! this is going to be sooooo good!

Very, very, encouraging Guinitman!!! indeed, this will be a major boost to our IJA impression, to date, we have ar least 3 complete dummy arisakas, and my studio is cleaning up the other 8 pieces last weekend. I would love to help you up on the type 92, I have a metal shop, we can surely spruce up some missing parts including wooden components with my carvers, but that would probably have to wait until my return. As of the P17, I would like to ask Sir Labrador (who I know has been busy setting up some really great developments for the group) how is the detailing going on the proto-type I sent him before we cast it, I was aiming at 10 pcs of P17, but maybe I can do more, depending on the work load of the studio while I am away. Keep me updated folks!!!

trying to make contacs with mr.takeshi fukuda the real deal japanese guy with his 2 other japanese sgt companions.. if you guys may permit if they join us will let them command the imai forces for the reenactment WITH sir jojo dy, manny ortega,LT maha raja. they carry their own uniform and swords so we dont have to worry about what they will wear. wish our ija group the best luck if they will join us bec at the balloon fest they said they will join for the reenactment on april... the looks of sir fukuda is right on his uniform as a senior officer. WEAPONS UPDATE:..if guinitman will lend the type89 knee mortar our friend hardcore will also have 1 so we have 2 mortars available per mortar is manned by 2 soldiers the handler and the ammo carrier this will add up as a impressive force that will attack the P.SCOUTS line.. we hope all will go well. and to the reenators who will get HIT! on the battle pls follow what you have been instructed.. if you got HIT OR SHOT as a part of the script pls FOLLOW as what you have been told to do so. no moving dead soldier PLS! right ADLER?
