I'm keen to participate. I've got some gear to simulate a PS trooper (US Army khaki bendix shirt with corporal's stripes, USGI spats, webbing and a 1928 tommy gun). Can anyone lend me a helmet?
Also, can we bring guests?
And what are the details (scenario, location, travel details, etc)?

Scenario is still being discussed but will be around ten minutes long. it will involve an infiltration of the USAFFE front lines, a banzai charge and a few jeeps as ambulances and troop carriers, a bus will take us to the fort stotsenburg parade ground in clark and back. there will be a swap meet possibly with airsoft, collectors and jeepers. No worries, bring a friend, we've got gear to outfit him. If we could get more japanese that would be great.
We may need to do one practice run but details of where the rehearsal will be are still being worked out.

I would suggest to recreate the "First battle of Bataan". Abucay line defense were the the PS beat off the Japanese. This was a major significant moment when the Japanese were stopped on their tracks. All this early stages of the Bataan Campaign have all been forgotten.
Doing a reenactment you follow a planned script based on the historical event. This will be a sample show for the public to witness. Good luck and but in reality the USAFFE fielded more troops than the japanese had. But the Japanese were more equipped.
Do not forget to represent the PSHS the scouts were the best trained, best equipped elite troops of the USAFFE. They never ran away from a fight.

no worries. we are working on a script right now, and yes, the major combatants will be from the PSHS. and most will represent scouts, though we plan to have some PA forces and nurses to add depth to the story.
We will actually be period authentic in that the Japanese will be outnumbered and they will rely on artillery, stealth and massed attacks.
Thanks!

Thinking about cutting classes for this NSTP's a bummer. I wonder if they would let me go had I chosen ROTC instead.

Tha "battle of Bataan" was the last battle fought of WWI and was the first ground battle of United States Army in WWII.

Yes i was going to incorporate that in the script. Also the fact that the sacrifice, while ultimately a defeat gave time for the allies to gather strength for the eventual victory in the pacific campaign. Nice idea about the barbed wire as well. We shall try to incorporate it.
