Finally getting some work done on Labrador's Kar98k springer. He was able to get a 2nd hand Snow wolf M24 (APS2 clone) and finally gave me the go signal. I don't know if it's because this is my 8th springer conversion but i'm finding converting the APS2 clone much easier than the Bar10... Here are some WIP pics, more details to follow:    Green camo parts are from the Snow wolf M24. Kar98K parts from the Dboys plastic stock K98k. |

You're welcome! It's a pleasure building it. More progress: Made the rear sight box, cut and filed the K98 bolt to fit the M24 receiver. It shoots! Haven't chrono'd it yet but it shoots straight.    |

It's done! Over all, this was a great build. The snow wolf M24 is perfect to convert to a kar98. The ejection port is the same size, the trigger guard can be used, practically no machining necessary. Plus a durable 90 degree trigger mech. The only thing better in the bar10 is the hop chamber. A Much easier build compared to using a Bar10. Shoots 480 fps with .2bbs. Parts:  Filled the stock with expanding foam:  With a minimal amount of work compared to converting a Bar10, things fit almost perfectly. Practically a drop in.     My Bar98k looks somewhat trashy next to the APS98k...  See the difference in the receivers and why the snow wolf is superior:  Hope you'll be happy with it, Labrador! I'll leave the weathering to you. |
